insignia tvs are not a single brand of tv. Insignia does not even make tvs. They are tvs from other major tv companies rebranded. So for best buy to carry replacements parts, which they do not do for any product by the way, would be near impossible for them to do.
I couldn't agree more that Insignia is a trash tv, and Insignia/Best Buy are not very helpful in resolving the problem. I had my Insignia TV for just over 2 years, when I received an electric shock turning it off. Best Buy wanted $150 to come out and just look at it, then the repair cost. This was not cost effective as a new TV wouldn't cost much more than repairing the old one. I've never had a TV last less than 7 years before. From browsing the internet on the subject, this is a very common problem with Insignia TV's, and it doesn't appear anyone was able to get a good resolution from Best Buy on the problem. Best Buy does not even sell the power boards that a customer can replace it themselves. The only option is to pay the high home delivery repair cost. I will never buy an Insignia product again, and will think twice about purchasing anything from Best Buy as they are not very customer service focussed on the repairs of products they have sold.
