You'll still need to use an antenna on your television with your DTV converter box. You can use your old "rabbit ears" antenna, or you can update with new digital antenna. Disconnect your antenna from your TV and connect it to your converter box's "antenna in" port (which may be labeled as "ANT. IN") using the type of connector that the antenna has. Really old antennas may need adapters to connect.
Hello budda37849, With the iView 3500STB Digital DTV Converter Box with Analog Pass-Through and QAM Capability by using thumb drives (faster the better) or USB HDDs you can record TV or playback things you already have on your drives. Such as photos, music, or movies. Ability to take your recordings and play them back on your PC in a standard format. Please feel free to contact us again with any further questions. Thank you for shopping with us!
When you have selected the proper option, you should see a DTV set-up screen. When you get to this point you will now have to do a channel scan so the DTV converter can basically find all the channels that your antenna is capable of picking up. This could take a little time based on the amount of channels within your area. Once this is completed, you will now be able to use your DTV Converter box remote control to watch your television. Try the channel UP/DOWN arrows on your DTV remote to see all the channels that the converter box found when it went through the scanning process.
