"Well, Active speed has helped boost my overall internet connection not only by just boosting download speeds but also by keeping the connection active (no more time out disconnects). It's also friendly to my PC hardware and doesn't stress my computers processor temperature (unlike some I've tried), its not a resource hog either, works discreetly in the background. Great investment. Thanks Active Team."
and download speed also depends on where you are downloading from. I have cable, and my direct download (download from a website or link) speed is usually around 500kbps and sometimes can max out to around 1200 kb/s. i assume you are using a torrent, and most people do not even reach 300 kb/s on them (uploading or downloading). also, with torrents, it depends on how many seeders there are, the more, the faster you will download
The Verizon Speed Test sends and receives bursts of random data for 30 seconds. It calculates the upload and download speeds of your connection, by measuring how many "bits" of data were transferred during that 30 second period of time.
